DROP, COVER and HOLD ON
The Great California ShakeOut is an annual opportunity to practice how to be safer during big earthquakes: “Drop, Cover and Hold On.” International ShakeOut Day is always the third Thursday of October (this year: October 21).
The ShakeOut has also been organized to encourage you, your community, your school, or your organization to review and update emergency preparedness plans and supplies, and to secure your space in order to prevent damage and injuries.

HOUSING FOR PEOPLE THAT NEED IT
PAN has endorsed Alternative M as brought forth by two members of the NVCAP Working Group. Alternative M helps solve one of Palo Alto’s most pressing housing needs. Palo Alto has historically met or exceeded production of new homes for wealthy people (as defined by ABAG) . Where Palo Alto fails is in providing housing for the missing middle and families earning 60% and below the Area Median Income of $120,000 /year. Alt M fills that gap!
