Overview

The Medical Response Unit (MRU) is part of the City of Palo Alto Emergency Services Volunteers (ESV) Program. It is comprised of medical and lay support volunteers and coordinates with the other Emergency Services Volunteer units via Palo Alto’s Office of Emergency Services.

During disasters, our mission is to provide first aid and basic emergency care to our neighbors when the regular medical services may be compromised or overwhelmed. During blue-sky/non-disaster days we organize, prepare and train.
